Living along the Pacific Coast, we are blessed with having amazing, fresh salmon. This is probably one of the simplest, fastest and yet delicious ways to prepare it. The key is to develop a nice, crispy crust on the outside with a just perfectly cooked through middle that's oh-so tender and smooth... it almost feels it melts in your mouth! The savory and rich flavours of the salmon really comes through with this simple recipe. The best part? This can be done within 15 minutes!
Being that the pan-fried salmon is such a simple recipe, I've added another fast and easy recipe that can be prepared simultaneously with the salmon. A simple, savory miso soup that compliments the salmon well with only a few simple ingredients and only takes 20 minutes to make. Both dishes will go great with some fluffy white rice.
Planning to make both these recipes at the same time? I would recommend starting with prepping the miso soup first and work on the salmon while your soup is simmering. Enjoy!
